Spring Bridal Shower

Spring-Bridal-Shower

This past Sunday my closest friends and I threw one of our best gals a Spring Bridal Shower! The day turned out to be beautiful and our bride-to-be was positively glowing. It was the perfect afternoon as we sipped mimosas, chatted anxiously about the upcoming bachelorette party, feasted on delicious bites and played some hysterical bridal games.

My core group of friends have known each other since the 7th grade so it was amazing to celebrate such a special moment with all of them. With so much excitement and love in the air the countdown to her wedding {and bachelorette party} is on! I can't wait to be part of this special day and for Kendall to marry the man of her dreams.

This past weekend we packed up the car and drove to Plumas County, north of Lake Tahoe. The bride, Wendy {our Ceja Vineyards wine club manager}, got married at the breathtaking Plumas Pines Golf Resort, overlooking a gorgeous valley filled with tall sweeping pine trees. It was a relaxing landscape immersed in nature’s glorious surroundings.

This barnyard themed wedding was all about rustic chic. I loved all of the textures – from her gorgeous chiffon wedding dress to the burlap runners. The evening was festive and fun as we danced the night away to the sounds of a live rock n’roll band.

Congratulations Wendy & Riccardo Jacobus, it was a beautiful wedding!

Bienvenidos a Cancun! (Part One)

July couldn’t come soon enough!  Yesterday I jet-setted to the tropical beaches of Cancun with my BF and a group of friends.

We arrived in the early evening just in time to catch the most breathtaking sunset, followed by a celebratory birthday dinner & night swim in honor of one of my best friend's birthday. We are here for 8 days - the first half of our vacation we'll be attending our friend's wedding {in Xcaret} and then the  rest of the trip we'll be enjoying the exotic beaches of the Yucatan Peninsula.

I’ve only been here once before and I’m looking forward to swimming in the crystal clear {80 degree} ocean, exploring the Mayan ruins & eating delicious authentic Mexican cuisine.

I can’t wait to share more of my experiences {and pictures} next week! In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of our first day in Mexico…

p.s. Anyone have suggestions for things that we shouldn’t miss? Ole!

{Hello paradise!}

{Enjoying a refreshing margarita! Happy Birthday Cassandra! xoxo}
