BIG NEWS, we bought a home!

The past two months have brought so much uncertainty and challenges that I've never felt the importance of having a "home" more than ever. We made the big decision to plant our roots in Marina Bay, Point Richmond and have spent the last 8 weeks slowly adjusting to this new chapter in our lives. We couldn't be more ecstatic to settle in especially now that our little lady will make her debut early next month.

For the past decade and a half, the center of our lives has revolved around living in San Francisco, enjoying our circle of friends and having access to all of the amazing restaurants, bars and sports arenas. Chase and I met at San Francisco State University and spent most of our 20s and early 30s living our best lives, soaking in the city lifestyle. Tony Bennett's song, "I left my heart in San Francisco" rings so true and couldn't be more appropriate to how I'm currently feeling!

We selected the location of our home based on three factors. It's literally located across the bay (we're still bay area proud!), Chase can take a 30 minute ferry from Marina Bay to SF for work and it's a 30 minute drive for me to access wine country. The ideal middle location for both of us! Our new neighborhood also has access to some of the most beautiful walking, biking and hiking paths along the Marina Bay Trail - I can't wait to take some strolls outside with the little lady.

Our modern three story single family house attracted us to this community and we've already had the pleasure of making friends with some of our neighbors. One of the biggest selling points was our rooftop deck which we can't wait to break into this summer! There is still so much we need to do to make it our own as the pandemic has placed a pause on allowing us to freely shop furniture in stores and install home appliances, etc. For now, I've had the most fun designing baby girls nursery (stay tuned for a nursery reveal). Someone asked me the other day if I felt overwhelmed with so much going on and honestly, yes, but I feel like all of these big life changes and decisions have been a happy distraction with everything going on. I am a big believer that timing is everything, even during the most chaotic times. So there you have it friends, we're taking life one day at a time and are just happy to be healthy, safe and happy soaking in this new chapter in our lives.

Love,

Dalia
